Evaluation (results) of its effectiveness (if applicable) To evaluate the quality, the partnership has developed aquality label for MOOCs, published in 2014, tailored to both e-learning and open education. This constitutes a tool for improvement, comparing institutional performances with current best practices. The label includes a list of 32 statements, both for self and external assessment of courses and institutions. This way, measures can be taken to enhance the quality of MOOCs. 11. Overview of the lessons learned which are relevant to the project In a JRC report (Souto-Otero, et. al., 2016), members of the partnership identify the following benefits: ● increased visibility from the participation in the initiative ● multiple channels through which courses are offered to reach out to different learners (including international learners). ● members of the OpenupEd are members of a well-known and quality-driven brand that supports the openness of the universities. ● a portal created works as a reference point for the institutional platforms, increasing the visibility of the courses offered by the university and widen the market coverage. ● members can become part of a transnational project, a community that exchanges good practices ● more services are explored so that they can be offered in the future such as licensing support, joint platform offer, scalability of pedagogical designs, sharing data on business model, etc. (Souto-Otero, et. al., 2016, pp. 92-94). 12.
